Statement of Purpose

The statement of purpose is an important part of your application and should be a clear statement of the anthropological questions or problems that interest you and should also provide information about why you would like to pursue graduate study in Anthropology at Emory. Read More

Writing Sample

The writing sample may be a course paper, senior thesis, or other report or publication of your choice.

TOEFL Scores

TOEFL scores are NOT required for admission to the Anthropology PhD program.

Transcripts

A digital copy of your transcript from each post-secondary institution attended is to be uploaded into the online application. Once an offer of admission is made an official sealed transcript from each post-secondary institution attended will be required by the Laney Graduate School. Read More

Letters of Recommendation

Three letters of recommendation are required for the application. We strongly suggest that recommenders submit their letters through the online application system. Read More

The application fee is $75.
