Research

My primary research interests are in elucidating the effects of different evolutionary pressures on the human genome in the context of important societal and cultural changes, such as agriculture, migration, and European contact. I am particularly fascinated with the way that both genetic risk factors and the surrounding environment, including sociocultural adaptations, may have influenced disease etiologies in past populations.
