Research

My name is Amber, and I’m from Manchester-by-the-sea, MA. I completed my undergrad at Harvard in 2021 with a major in Human Evolutionary Biology. I conducted my honors thesis research in Professor Martin Surbeck’s lab on the effects of infant death on female social relationships in wild bonobos. I recently arrived back home from Paraguay where I was collecting field data for four months to study social dynamics and nutritional ecology in wild howler and capuchin monkeys. In addition to research, I enjoy oil painting, surfing, and traveling.
