Research

Passionate about global health and HIV, Conor has also developed an enthusiasm for harm reduction interventions and studies around addiction and substance use, largely from his hands-on experiences in Vancouver and Amsterdam. For his PhD research, Conor aspires to study the health decision making of people who inject drugs (PWID) in Thailand, and how they conceive of their health needs and construct communities and identities to stake their claims to health. Outside of his anthropological pursuits, Conor is extremely zealous about various genres of music and enjoys hiking and learning about local wildlife.
